Short Bio
Ruben Burgos is a published author, actor, and entrepreneur, and the Architect & Founder of the Urban Media Global Network Collective in New York City. A poet and novelist, he is the author of 19 books published on Lulu, spanning crime fiction, thrillers, poetry, and business. As an actor he has nine credited productions, including the lead role in the film series Bullet to the Ballot. Before fiction and publishing, he worked as an investigative story journalist, with more than 25 years covering law enforcement, criminal justice, and public affairs, and built and led a multimedia music network. He is a contributing editor for UMG Book Publishing.
The Story
Ruben Burgos writes about justice, humanity, resilience, and the human spirit — because he has spent his life close to all four. For more than 25 years he covered law enforcement, criminal justice, and public affairs as an investigative story journalist, and that reporting became the foundation of a publishing career that now runs to 19 books: crime novels, psychological thrillers, poetry, and practical business writing, all published on Lulu.
On screen, Burgos is an actor with nine credited productions, including the lead role in Bullet to the Ballot and a major role in the web series The Cycle.
As a founder, he built the Urban Media Global Network Collective — an umbrella organization for many businesses around the globe, and an educational tool for talent: a place where independent artists, musicians, record labels, models, DJs, and businesses learn the business they are in while they build their careers in it. Every service in the network — 200 services across five audiences — is personally serviced by the Architect & Founder himself.
Giving back is part of the same mission: Burgos gives clothing to the less fortunate, feeds the homeless, teaches mixed martial arts to youth, and teaches computers to youth and young adults.
