We’ll create safety analysis models, reliability analysis models, and more. All of them will be precise enough in detail to achieve their purpose. In general, though, a model is precise enough if its contents can be verified through testing or formal mathematical analysis and not just a semantic review. When I talk about testing the model, I don’t mean testing other work products created as a result of the model; I especially don’t mean that we verify the requirements model by building the system and then figuring out if we built the right system or not.
